"...for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God..." Eph 2:12-13
TGBI operates Bible Schools in 9 different locations. The purpose of these Bible Schools is to train up lay leaders in the churches to do the work of the ministry. The Bible School program emphasizes the students spiritual life, ministry skills, and knowledge of the word of God.
Spiritual life is emphasized through requiring the students to keep a daily spiritual journal, daily chapels, and programmed mentoring of the students by the teachers. It is also fostered by requiring students to exercise their faith in perform various ministries in addition to the emphasis on spiritual formation that is pushed in all parts of the curriculum.
Ministry skills are emphasized by training our students to do various ministries in class and then requiring them to perform these ministries between modules in their local churches. The Bible School works closely with the elder boards of the local churches to oversee and report on the students ministry practice.
Knowledge of the word of God is emphasized with over 400 hours of training focused on Bible and Theology.
The Bible School program is offered in two different formats. The first consists of eight three week modules over the course of two years. The second completes the training in three modules over a period of fourteen months
Not every Bible School is in session each year. The number of schools we operate in a given year depends upon TGBI's financial ability and the availability of new students at each location.
